Classes will not only focus on martial technique using aikido principles, but will also focus on mental discipline, self motivation, self confidence, self-esteem, etiquette and manners. Martial arts training is also a good way for children to also learn coordination and balance which helps prevent injuries should they also participate in sports. The confidence and self discipline they develop will help with school work and may improve grades. Most of all, children who participate in martial arts can learn to defend themselves against school bullying and child predators. Anyone interested in our program please contact Erwin Ricafort at emricafort@aol.com. He can also be reached on his cell phone at 615.496.7173.

Cherry Blossom Festival Demonstration

Please come join us at this year's Cherry Blossom Festival in downtown Nashville's Public Square. It is right next to the Metro Courthouse off of Union Avenue. The dojo will have a booth where anyone can come and visit us. We will also be demonstrating at 12:00pm. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nashville-Cherry-Blossom-Festival/324653949587?sk=wall&filter=1

KYU TESTING

Congratulations to the following students for their promotions!

It was nice to have Sifu (Chuck Gross), Pam and Molly there. It was a special night for everyone.
The incredible cake Robin made for the occasion was breathtaking. Sensei was unhappy that there
were too many of us to sit at the same table but no one was made to feel left out of the festivities.
Obviously it's simply impossible to seat that many people in the same room.

We all enjoy the family we're a part of and look forward to any off mat time we get to spend together.
Again, thank you to everyone who made the night special.

Congratulations Sensei!

"I am thankful for the guidance I continue to receive from the Budoka around me.
I couldn't be enjoying this journey without them." Kevin Sparkman Sensei
